Texas Southern Fried Chicken Recipe

Here is my yummy and super-easy recipe for Texas Southern Fried chicken! What a treat!

Normally, I like to make it with olive oil, but I was completely out and didn’t have time to pick up more. Just so you know, it takes the big bottle of olive oil to have enough for frying.
Lana, my fellow Sin City Rules cast mate, will be joining me for dinner a lot sooner than expected…so Crisco will just have to do!
Texas Southern Fried Chicken
Ingredients:
Oil of your choice
Chicken pieces (I prefer wing drummettes and Brad likes legs and thighs)
Garlic salt
Pepper
White flour
Directions:
Heat grease to HOT!  You will know when the oil is ready by adding a small drop of flour in the pan.  If it sizzles and foams, you’re ready to go.
Sprinkle chicken with a generous amount of garlic salt and pepper.
Dredge in white flour and coat well.
Place chicken in frying pan. Keep chicken in pan until it gets medium to dark brown, then turn each piece.
Try to keep chicken in one position, then flip but don’t flip too often.
Remove chicken from grease and cool on paper bags or paper towels.
Sample chicken and if it needs more seasoning, make sure you add before chicken cools.
Enjoy!
